The Brief
Below is a a list of what we will discuss at the initial consult:
- Your Message? What is special about your business?
- What functions do you need? Information only, selling online, media gallery, blog?
- Budget. Talk to us about your needs and your budget – we can make suggestions that bridge the gap between need and cost.
- Pages. Main areas you want to cover then sub pages for these.
- Your competition. Make note of functions your competitors have and design elements you like and dislike.
- Text. Try and think of yourself as a customer when writing your text. SEO – we will discuss how to integrate this.
- Images. Have your got your own images? Do you need us to source some images for you?
- Marketing. Do you want to gain subscribers and a database of clients to target.
- Domain & Hosting. We can set all that up for you or use your current providers
The Design
Below is a a list of what to expect from the design process:
- Style. We look at the basics, colours, fonts, headers, footers, widgets and layout.
- The landing / home page. Who you are, what you do and what a customer can do. It will focus on your target audience.
- Optimised for multiple devices. The design will include Mobiles and Tablets.
- Calls to Action. Interact with your customers with elements like Free quotes, Buy Now, Subscribe for Special deals.
- Navigation / Sitemap. Keep your customers on your site by making it easy to use.
- SEO Strategy. Headings and paragraphs that contain keywords and phrases to help people find your website.
- Images. We will make the most of your images to gain attention and interest.
- Review the content. We will point out any areas of the website that we feel require more text or images.
Going Live
What we will do during the Website Build:
- Domain & Hosting. We will set all this up or use your existing provider.
- Page Layouts. The pages are set up with the fonts, colours and heading sizes to keep it consistent across the website.
- Images. Images are optimised for size and SEO and slideshows created.
- Functions. Videos, contact forms, maps, email optins, calls to action, slideshows, buttons etc.
- SEO. You site needs to be found – we will put in the basics.
- Analytics. Google analytics script is added to the website to monitor the visitors to your website and your site indexed.
- Integration. You may require a payment facility for your shopping cart or marketing integration.
- Social Media. Share and follow buttons.
